St Maarten watersports are by far the most popular activities on the island. With an average temperature of 80°F and steady trade winds almost all year long, it comes as no surprise that St. Maarten is heaven on earth to watersports enthusiasts.

If you’re looking for some exercise with your St Maarten watersport activity, we’ve got it all! From swimming and body-surfing, to kayaking, wind surfing, surfing, water skiing, sunfish and aqua cat sailing, wave runners, pedal boats, parasailing and more, you’ll have great fun and get a great work-out as well.

Surfing

Surfers come from all over to ride waves at one of the many St Maarten beaches that are perfect for surfing.

Water-Skiing

Water-skiing is a great sport that will get your adrenaline pumping. There are many areas on the island that are suitable for water-skiing such as Orient Beach & Simpson Bay Lagoon.

Wave Runners

Riding wave-runners in & out of waves is another great adrenaline pumping sport and many beaches around the island offer wave runner rentals.

Windsurfing & Kitesurfing

Orient Beach is a great place for experienced wind and kite surfers while beginners should try their skills at Le Galion.
